About the Weekend Event
The White Horse Military Show is open air living museum for one weekend a year. where the whole family can come and enjoy an incredible immersive experience.
The show site is arranged in different time periods so that an atmosphere of that period can be created. Like time travel into different time zones. There is a lot to enjoy so I do hope you are able to give yourself plenty of time.

After the great success of last years show. We are doing it again. £10 tank rides are back!
The Immersive Living history festival https://whms.org.uk/ is created Using recycled film sets and scenery. These are re purposed into new sets which then re enactors inhabit and bring the show to life. It is like time traveling into different periods. Starting with our American frontier town with its own Saloon complete with saloon girls. Outside you will see the cowboys riding around with the occasional shoot out. Travel onto the WW1 trench system where you can speak with the soldiers in the trenches and get a feel of what it was like, meet the war Horses. Onto the 1940s with its own farm and town square that includes shops, houses, Cinema and tea rooms, music venue. There is also a Normandy section with a French Café. (As you can expect with all these sections there are immersive things happening all the time) Go onto North Africa where a 1 to 1 copy of El Alamein railway station is built and hosting Britain’s Desert rats and Germanys Afrika corps. Onto the Vietnam section with all the GI’s in their camp looking out of the watch tower. Finally ending up in the end of last Centaury with cold war with the Berlin wall and the the Gulf war with British and American army kit and re enactors. Finish off with modern and current kit from this Century. There are visiting Helicopters such as Lynx and Sea king. Loads of Tanks and Tank Rides! This has grown massively over the last three years as one eccentric mans dream to build an immersive historical world has so far gained the attention of over 1000 re enactors who also fought this project of the mad English man was a good idea!
The Stats. over 70 tons of scenery used. Covers 52 acres. over 1500 re enactors. 3 music venues. miles of re enactor groups. Privately funded and is only £15 per adult to enter under 18 free if with adult. its quite something to see.
